Antinatalism, Social Justice & Power
Intro (Black Lives Matter, Reddit comment) In this video I want to talk about antinatalism and social justice. I want to address some of what has been said by antinatalists amidst the Black Lives Matter protests, which have now evolved into larger anti-authoritarian protests. The subject of authoritarianism pertains to antinatalism as well, and I’ll be touching upon that later in the video. I’m going to look critically at the idea that antinatalism is a social justice movement, and that, assuming that it is, it’s also compatible with other social justice movements. And I’ll be critiquing certain attitudes coming from people who are confident that antinatalism should be the central focus of social justice activists today.
